OBJECTIVE

To briefly describe "Yellow Book" in details. The goal is to give potentional readers an idea of what they can find insde of the book. Michal talks about his view on individual chapters of the book and talks about his motivation.

WHAT WE DID

We planned, location scouted, filmed and edited this long format video focuses on Michal Pastier, the author of best seller, the "Yellow Book". The production went from proper planning to assembly, including interior location scouting, multi-camera setups, to proper multi-cam editing. We kept all of our cameras static. Michal wanted to have a detail on his camera, so we built a overhead rig to give him the top-down camera angle to give his viewer a sneak peek into his book. The video was produced using three Canon cameras, and few carefully placed light sources to ensure the right color temperature, and skin tones, but still keeping the right amount of yellow light in the video as this is the Michal's brand colors. The biggest challenge was to stay with the right tonality - or brightness of all the objects but mostly the character in the video. We also controlled the rhythm of the video editing to set the right tempo of the video which reflects Michal's personality. See our iPhone photo shown below :)

EFFECT

Once Michal's book hit the bookstores it was instant hit and it became one of the best-selling books in Slovakia and in Czech Republic. Two years later, Michal wanted to give his viewers a brief overview of what is inside of his book. We helped Michal to reconnect with his audience. He encourages people not be afraid when trying to take a step forward as they build their business, their brand. Michal motives those who read the book but mostly those who haven't read the book yet. He has a huge reach on LinkedIn and posting this video on his socials helped Michal Audience to reconnect with him.

The long format video helped Michal to: 

  • reach and reconnect with his audience mostly on YouTube but also on other socials networks
  • provide a honest feedback from author himself to what's inside of the book
  • build a community of people who share the same values on YouTube
  • encourage and motivate Michal's audience to take the step forward
PROJECT RESULTS

With over 200 creative awards, Michal is one of the most acclaimed advertising and branding creators in Central Europe. The goal of the project was to talk, encourage and motive his viewers, Michal talked about the most important chapters from the "Yellow Book". This video is a statement, we helped to produce Michal a video to express who he really is and also to help him to stand out from all other creators.
