What is photography? 

When somebody ask you, hey, what photography really is? How would you describe it? Photography could be described as the practice or the art of producing photos by capturing light. Photography the term itself could be translated as drawing with light. This art is used to communicate information and ideas. When a photographer understands its principles the art of producing photos becomes a very powerful tool.

Photography as an art is about understanding composition, light, color, and rhythm means your images will communicate your ideas clearly. It is about capturing the right a moments, people, objects, scenes etc. Photographs tell stories, carry emotions, shape memories. Photography could also be described as a language for communication.

• Gives us meaning: It frames the moment we choose to capture. What the photographer includes, leaves out, or highlights shapes how we understand the photograph - landscape photographs.
• Creates memory: Photographs turn single moments into cultural memory, they could become symbols that help societies remember events and form shared identities - historic photographs.
• Influences us: Photographs can persuade us, control us, control visual narratives, and shape our opinion.
